You can show your Rutgers spirit in many ways, thanks to our enthusiastic Spirit Squad. Clever, colorful posters are available for fans to take to their seats so they can cheer on their favorite players. Last season, fans showed their spirit by sending postcards to the team through a special mailbox set up in the hallway behind sections 101-105. And check out our Photo Gallery to see pictures from many of the games. You might find your face among the fan shots.
Special posters are available for you to display at each home game, with at least one for each team member. Signs will be available for pick-up by fans in the corridor behind sections 101-105 before games, and they should be returned after the games. Check our Photo Gallery for examples of signs from this and previous seasons, and contact Spirit Squad Commander Kathy Duff with your suggestions for this year’s collection ([email protected]).
In addition, the RU FAN MAILBOX is located on the Sign Library Table (on the green/yellow parking side of the RAC). Special postcards and pens enable you to jot down your message to any player and place it in the mailbox. The postcards are then “delivered” to each player. The mailbox opens before each game and closes after the game. As loyal RU WBB fans, we know the importance of fan support. Last year, several players taped their post cards right to their lockers while other players came to the stands to find a specific fan and thank them! Let's remember that these young ladies are 18-22 years old, and many are living far from home. Compliments, caring and encouragement make a world of difference, so zip on over to the Fan MAILBOX and send a first class message to your favorite player. Be a tRUe fan!

We need volunteers to distribute posters and to collect them after each game. In addition, before designated games, Spirit Squad volunteers decorate the faces of our fans - especially the young fans - with colorful, temporary tattoos. Volunteers are also needed to sell "50-50" tickets in the lobby before home games. This is a key fundraiser for the Cagers Club and a chance for fans to go home with a jackpot at each home game. The more tickets sold, the bigger the jackpot and the more money raised for the Club, so please volunteer to be a 50-50 seller.
All volunteers will be entered into a drawing during that game to win a prize. Each time you volunteer, your name will be entered into the drawing. The drawing will always be on the day you volunteered. The more times you volunteer, the better your chances of winning a prize! Volunteers are very important for us to reach as many fans as possible at our home games. You don't need to volunteer at every game but we would appreciate your helping the club whenever you can.
You can find additional information about Spirit Squad activities and sign up as a volunteer by downloading the volunteer spreadsheet and e-mailing it with your information to [email protected] or dropping off a copy at the Cagers table in the lobby of the RAC before home games.
